TRIP KO TO'!

It was almost midnight as my cousins and I were craving for some frozen yogurt treat so we stopped at the new yogurt place in Banilad named "YOGU!" The place is so small but you can immediately notice it because it is situated along Banilad Highway.
YAAAAAM! :3

YOGU treats come in two serving sizes, Regular cup which costs 70 php and large cup 95php. Toppings are also available priced at 15php each topping and 30php for 3 toppings of your choice. There were different kinds of toppings like mango, toblerone, crunch, cereal, almonds, granola, kiwi, strawberry, chocolate chips and many more.
I was having a difficult time in choosing what toppings I want.

The best part of all was UNLIMITED SYRUP! If you like your frozen yogurt to be sweet, then help yourself with these sweet flavored syrups! There are honey, chocolate swirl, strawberry and caramel. You can get as many as you want! :3

FREE!
There were also yogurt crepes and smoothies that cost 105-135 php depending on the flavor. Before leaving the store, don't forget to ask for your card wherein you get a free regular cup with 3 toppings on your 10th visit.

Crepe with nutella and chocolate sauce, sprinkled with powdered sugar
and frozen yogurt.

And some of our pics, enjoying our orders! :P Yikes! I know you want one!

So what are you waiting for?! Try YOGU now!

 PIGGIN' OUT!

I have a small business which is selling load. I get enough profits each week. It was Christmas so I decided to treat my awesome cousins. We went to ayala and watched a movie. After, we decided where to eat desserts so we ended up in GELATISSIMO because they knew that it is my favorite ice cream store. Incase you don't know, gelato is Italy's variant of ice cream. It is also known to have less butterfat and and sugar contents.

We were so excited to eat so we immediately grab some tables and sat down on the chairs. The place was a little bit small. It wasn't spacious at all. I mean it cannot accommodate more people. There were only few chairs and tables but still we ate there.

Before we ate it, we took a picture as a SOUVENIR. (:

We ordered "COPPA BAMBINO". It has 32 mini scoops of indulgent gelato topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, nuts and strawberries. It also has fan wafer, poco stick, bambino cones & two novelty sticks. It estimately serves 4 to 6 people. You'll need to rotate between your friends to finish this one. Yes, you heard that right. It costs 600php but I tell ya', it's really worth the price!

I immediately grabbed my spoon so that
I could be the first one to eat it. haha :P

They have many kinds of amazing desserts like sundaes, shakes and banana splits. You can also have take home packs, 500ml & 1 Litre gelato. Their gelatos cost about 95php (small), 150php (regular), 180php (large). It's better to buy the large cup than the regular cup because it only has 30php difference. The prices are fair considering the large serving size and the place where the store is located.

BON APPETIT! :3

Lastly, I would like to thank their staff here in Gelatissimo - Ayala for doing a great job in serving their customers. They give their customers a free taste of the gelato of their choice. And as we were about to leave the store, everyone of the staff "thanked" us for coming there. haha (:

At last, we finished the huge COPPA BAMBINO!
THUMBS UP! :)

Try to visit their store when you get a chance!
Satisfaction guaranteed! (:

                                                       CRAVING FOR SUSHI!

It was my cousin's birthday so we decided to eat dinner outside. We kept on arguing where to eat. We decided to eat food that we haven't tasted yet so we ended up in Little Nonki in A.S. Fortuna. It is a japanese restaurant. When we entered the restaurant, we smelled japanese food all over. The waitresses greeted us with a warm welcome saying "ohayou gozaimasu!" It made us smile. After, we sat down and chose what menu we're going to order. When I saw the menu, I was like whoa, I didn't understand some words. I only relied on the pictures if it looks tasty or not. We kept on asking the waitress what their delicious food are. So we waited like 15 minutes, then the food was served. We used chopsticks to eat the food. It was a little difficult especially getting the agedashi tofu but then I got used to it.
So delicious!

My favorite sushi! CRUNCHYROLL :3
Can't stop eating it. O_O
I was having a hard time in eating this because I was using chopsticks
but still I kept on eating it. I actually ate 7 tofus. hihihi :)

I love their fried rice.
We spent Php 3,200. It was really worth it! It was absolutely perfect! I rate this restaurant 9.5/10 because their food was so delicious and mouth-watering and yea, I was having a hard time using chopsticks in getting the food. haha (: You better try this one! I bet you'll love this too!

Food Nostalgia

Before I leave for Summer, let me just give you a dose of what- and where Southside has brought me...and my tummy! ^^

Some time in December, my board mates and I decided to hang out before leaving for the Christmas break. We decided to "chill" at I.T Park and take a sip of one of the famous coffees in town: Starbucks

I enjoyed myself with their Java Chip Frapp. It's a drink having a chocolate chip-like things blended in, served with whipped cream and chocolate drizzled on top. Yup, that was it. :)

We spent long hours talking about anything *plus* I got to know more about the place. It was 2 in the morning when we decided to call it a night (Can we still call "that" a night?).

I've got a little advice for the readers though... Don't EVER stay in I.T if you suffer asthma. You'll surely drown with all the smoke around. I guess that's the only downside.

Next stop,  Alejandro's Filipino Resto- home of the best Crispy Pata in Town. We went there during the last week of January. And boy, you could not believe how cheap dishes can get when you're with your buddies!

I was busy making projects and assignments that day when my board mate barged in at my room and invited me for dinner. I did not refuse thinking we would dine in at a karinderia nearby.

Upon arriving at Alejandro's we immediately chose the dishes we liked. We had camaron rebusado, mixed vegetables, Alejandro's crispy pata,
chicken sotanghon, and iced tea for our drink. Each and every one of us was really full that night. It was worth it.

March is a great month for dining in too... especially because Summer is one it's way.

My best friend's birthday falls on the 8th.. And what better way to celebrate his day than pigging out!
Just so he wouldn't suspect anything, I decided to surprise him on the 6th. I took him Ayala Center Cebu after watching an Acrobatic show at USC. Clueless on what his favorites are, we dined in at Greenwich hoping he loves pasta just as I do.

I had Lasagna- and I loved every bite of it! I also had a slice of their pizza and some fries. Delish!

He had chicken. *sigh!* Chicken! It's a pizza place, and still he had chicken. I couldn't do anything about it though, he really loves chicken.

If you're wondering what the surprise was, it was the treat (I rarely spend a cent when he's around) and some cake I gave him. Yup, I gave him a cake with sparkling candles on it. Yey!

Last, but definitely not the least was Kenny Roger's

Last Saturday, after attending an assembly in school, my bud and I went to Ayala (again) to have dinner.  We got tired with the usual routine so we tried something new. Kenny Roger's, based on tv commercials, is famous for their chicken.

We seriously dug a hole in our pockets with this one.

It got worse when the dish was served. I picked the Grilled Chicken with mixed vegetables and a muffin at the side and was a bit  disappointed with the taste. My pal felt the same about his dish, Roasted Chicken. He said it was too salty.

The food was okay, I guess.  At least my friend liked their gravy. ^^
No, really. I liked their food but I can't love it. (Am I making any sense?) It filled my tummy so... yeah, it was okay.

That's all for now. Ciao!

Beating the Heat of Nature's Light bulb

Summer is a season for Hell Temperatures and on some cases, the need to cool off is really urgent. I went in search for the best remedy for amplified body heat caused by the very unpredictable weather. I found myself in SM with a few of my friends………. and their money. :))

We started with the very small and hidden stand of Cherry’s Hawaiian Shaved Ice. Their wide array of flavors and colors entices every part of your tongue. They make their product in two sizes REGULAR(55php) and HUGE(75php). I ordered a regular and I chose 3 flavors: Spearmint, Tutti Frutti and Blue Bubblegum. They use an automated Ice shaver and a big block of ice. Then, they sculpt it in a spherical form, much like an afro haircut. Once they finish, they pour the colorful liquid on the ice and serve it with a straw and a small plastic spoon.

How it tastes depends on your flavor preferences. Service is great and your order can be made in minutes, a perfectly cold remedy for summer heat.

After our Cherry’s trip, we went up one floor to the front of Toy Kingdom where you can find a stand that sells the most awesome popsicle sticks. Picolẻ is a small popsicle stand that houses the best popsicles that you can find in Cebu. My friend Yasmin bought a Green Mango Popsicle and well, it tasted like a real green mango. Seriously, A REAL GREEN MANGO. My friend wanted to buy bagoong or salt because it seriously did taste like a real green mango. If that second mention of how real it tasted will not convince you, I’ll say it one more time.. REAL GREEN MANGO.

She bought it for 30 php, a bit pricey for a Popsicle stick but it’s totally worth it.

We proceeded to the next cold thing we could find on the 4th floor. Two words: ICE SCRAMBLE. I cannot express how this tasted, it was okay, but it wasn’t, confusing right? That’s ‘cause you cannot explain the feeling of eating this. For the sake of this blog, I will describe it the best I can. It was like cherry flavoured bubbles, like flavouring whipped at a speed of 60KPH blender, served with powdered milk. I paid 21 pesos for a cup of vomit, okay too harsh, horse spit.  It was okay, for horse spit.

Across the last stand we visited lies another stand, FRIED ICE CREAM.  They don’t actually fry the ice cream, it just seems that way because they use a cold-plate, much like a hot-plate but the other way around, DUH. They let you pick a flavouring and they blend it with a mix of cream and other additives. They then spread it on the cold-plate then freeze while flattening it. They then scrape it off and they serve it like it’s scraped, rolled. It has that melt-in-your-mouth effect.
     VERDICT: affordable and okay.

Lastly, Tutti Frutti, a small frozen yogurt shop across game zone on the ground floor. They, well,, err.. YOU serve yourself. Their rates go for 20 php an ounce, inclusive of toppings. They have different flavors for every week or two. Their staff are nothing short of cheerful and helpful and the yogurt is amazing. Cold enough to get rid of the summer heat. My friends chose to mix an match Strawberry, Original and Death by Chocolate. All of which were amazing.

I FOUND THESE SHOPS A GOOD FIX  FOR THE SUMMER HEAT
